About Me
I graduated from California Western School of Law in December of 2011 in the top 5% of my class. I served on law review and graduated magna cum laude. My law review article, Take the Money and Run: A Case for Benchmarking in the New Market Tax Credit Program, was published in California Western’s Law Review (47 Cal. W. L. Rev. 411). I passed the California Bar Exam in May of 2012.
After law school, I served for three years as a judicial law clerk to a federal judge in San Diego, California. As a judicial law clerk, the vast majority of my time was spent preparing draft orders on pretrial motions involving dismissal, discovery, contempt, and summary judgment. I also attended settlement conferences several times a week and served as a liaison between attorneys and the judge.
I love performing legal research and writing. A career as a freelance attorney has provided me with the opportunity to perform the legal research and writing that I love to do, without having to deal with non-attorney clients, court appearances, or opposing counsel.
My remote career as a freelance attorney has been key in allowing me to continue to work during our numerous moves across the country and travels throughout the world. I currently reside in Verdi, NV with my two sons.
